Jacob D. Flentke

Jacob D. Flentke has extensive experience in Bankruptcy, Creditors’ Rights, Commercial Litigation, and Business Law. He has represented clients in both federal and state courts on a variety of issues. His litigation experience includes
representing parties in bankruptcy appeals, including successfully arguing to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals
representing debtors in Chapter 11 Subchapter V cases
representing debtors in adversary proceedings
bankruptcy trustees in Chapter 7 cases with more than $20 million in claims
prosecuting and defending fraudulent transfer claims in excess of $1 million
representing Fortune 500 companies on anti-trust claims in the context of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case
litigating numerous bankruptcy preferential transfer claims
representing creditors in lien priority disputes and replevin actions
representing landlords in commercial and residential eviction matters
representing various interests in mortgage foreclosure litigation
litigating insurance coverage disputes
Jacob graduated cum laude from The Florida State University College of Law in 2006 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Northwestern University. During law school, he was Article and Notes Editor for the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy, and he was a recipient of Book Awards for Statutory Interpretation and Conflict of Laws.
After law school, Jacob served as a judicial law clerk to two federal judges. After his federal clerkships, Jacob worked for a large, state-wide firm, practicing bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and for a boutique firm practicing construction litigation, real estate litigation, and general state-court practice.
